Nearly a month ago now it was my nephews 16th birthday. He is more of the quiet, understated personality type. He didn't want any celebration or fuss etc... as being centre of attention makes him uncomfortable.
Gorgeous grunge seemed the perfect stamp set to use for this occasion and no 16th birthday card would be complete without at least one reference to the big milestone. So, I Die Cut the number 16 using the Typeset Alphabet Bigz Die using the numbers Birthday Basics Designer Series Paper.
I matched the ink to the colours in the Designer Series Paper and here is the finished result:-
The gorgeous grunge set really is a universal set, it can be used to create a bit of interest in the background, to create background papers, to use as the main stamping on a card or project and again dependent upon the colours used can be used for all occasions.
It is no secret that I am a huge fan of vintage, always have been, always will be and I am not sure now if I shared this tag with you but I thought I would add it again if I have anyway, I made it quite a while ago while demonstrating to people how they could use our Stampin Up Envelope Punch Board to create tags and tabs for tags but it is also another great example of how Gorgeous Grunge really does make a beautiful impact on your crafting projects
